A taste of what the role entails:
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager with a proven track record in B2B marketing, within the broadcast media sector. Our ideal candidate is a self starter, multimedia savvy, well-organised, and has an established media industry network. You should have demonstrated end to end campaign management experience with a strong product marketing background. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to manage multiple tasks with great attention to detail.
You’ll be responsible for end to end management of TBS’s integrated marketing program including a significant number of international conferences and tradeshows, owned events, webinars, email campaigns etc. In this role, your demand generation skills, and understanding of content marketing will be an essential part of driving our narrative and encouraging business growth.
Your responsibilities will also include:
  • Planning and end to end execution of successful campaigns such as international tradeshows, content & digital marketing
  • Actively contributing to achieving the overall market development key priorities
  • Drive go to market activity for new product development and creation and execution of relevant go to market campaigns
  • Track demand generation progress against campaign goals and overall business goals
  • Create, own and manage a sales/marketing data workflow to optimise reporting
  • Development of strategic content and digital marketing plans
  • Develop and update content for telstra.com and Telstra Enterprise social media channels that drive increased engagement, web traffic & social media reach
  • Develop and implement a content calendar, including integration of promotional campaigns and events, that reach and engage target consumers
  • Write compelling copy and design a range of impactful product marketing material including fact sheets, brochures, ebooks, case studies, product presentations, elevator pitch sales documents
  • Driving sales enablement initiatives including supporting the sales team with the creation of marketing collateral
  • Owning email marketing campaigns with excellent copywriting skills
  • Continuously thinking of innovative and creative ways to elevate the brand and promote Telstra Broadcast Services globally
  • Manage agencies and vendors
  • Develop, manage and maintain business plans and associated budgetary and financial management requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following skills and experiences:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications
  • Minimum of 8 years experience as a campaign manager or marketing manager, specifically working on international industry events with the broadcast media industry
  • Experience in driving digital and content marketing strategy
  • Experience in crafting copy and executing marketing campaigns across a variety of digital channels including email, website, and social media
  • Experience in developing go to market strategies, M&A, identifying marketing opportunities and developing product marketing solutions
  • Experience with creative platforms such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Analytical approach to data and reporting to drive business decisions
  • Strong stakeholder management required
  • Sales and/or business development experience in the broadcast media industry beneficial
Skills and Reasoning Ability
  • Self-starter with the ability to drive projects through to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, copywriting experience desired
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment with competing demands and priorities across multiple timezones
  • Proven ability to prioritise workloads and co-ordinate and manage multiple projects, with an ability to think creatively, broadly and work under pressure
  • Strong organisation skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to establish, build and foster relationships with Telstra staff, suppliers and customers both locally and globally
  • Ownership and management of a set budget and professionally negotiating with vendors and suppliers
  • Managing industry memberships and renewals and account management of contractual benefits
  • Ability to compare and analyse data
  • Strong drive, self-motivated, championing new initiatives and creative thinking
  • Budgeting and financial planning
Language Requirements
  • Written and oral fluency in English required
  • Multi-lingual capabilities a plus
